Sliding Doors

Fulfab sliding doors have been designed for full-integration with our post and beam hangar systems. These 2-leaf, manually operated doors provide a lower cost alternative to electric bifolds, are manufactured in clear dimensions of 42' x 12' and furnished on three of our standard hangar models.

Sliding Door Features

Top-Hung, Bottom-Guided System

Our system effectively shelters all movings parts overhead and away from weather-related elements and debris, which often interfere with bottom-rolling doors. This system also eliminates the need for costly foundation tracks required by bottom-rolling systems.

Locking System

Each 21' sliding door section is equipped with a rod-lock assembly. The “active” section of each unit is secured with an individually and master-keyed lockset while the second section is easily opened from inside the hangar to meet fire code requirements.

Track & Trolleys

We feature time-tested Cannon Ball needle-bearing trolleys equipped with DuPont Delrin wheels. These quiet running trolleys are corrosion resistant and prelubricated for maintenance free operation and are fully enclosed overhead in heavy-gauge galvanized tubular track.

Weather Stripping

Polypropylene brushes and aluminum holders, developed specifically for aircraft hangar doors, are used along the top, bottom and jambs of each sliding door section to efficiently weather-seal and bird-proof each hangar unit.

Access Doors

Although not necessary with sliding door hangars, 3' wide, pre-hung personnel doors equipped with spring-loaded hinges and individually and master-keyed deadbolts are available.
